LAUTER TUN GEOMETRY

LOW AND LARGE, FOR THE BEST FILTRATION YIELD

The filtration system involves the use of a separate filter, defined lauter tun, where only the filtering operation is performed. The filter tank is low and wide to have the best filtration ratio. Filtration has a certain repeatable time (on average 1 hour and 15 minutes) and a very low-temperature decrease. A constant flow of the filtrate allows having a constant flow of sparging water, so as to have a few centimeters of water constant over the grain. This takes advantage of having a constant and low top pressure that does not pack too much filter bed.
